SB 881 -- CONVEYANCE IN ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY

SPONSOR:  Engler (Robinson)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Corrections and Public Institutions by a vote of 8 to 0.

This bill authorizes the Governor to convey state property
located in St. Francois County to the City of Farmington.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2007, FY 2008, and
FY 2009.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that a St. Francois County road
department facility is located in a business district.  The
county would like to move this facility to an industrial area
located adjacent to the Farmington Correctional Center.

Testifying for the bill were Senator Engler; and Representative
Robinson.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
